Aam Launji

For 4-5 persons


Ingredients -

  • 2 cups pulp of unripe mango

  • ½ tsp. red chili powder

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • ½ tsp. cumin seeds

  • ½ tsp. nigella (kalaunji)

  • ½ tsp. aniseed (saunf)

  • ½ tsp. garam masala powder

  • 2 tbsp. sugar or jaggery powder (khand)

  • 1 tbsp. oil

  • ½ tsp. dry ginger (sonth)


Method-

  1. Heat oil. Saute jeera, kalaunji and saunf. Add mango pulp, red chili, garam masala, salt, and Saute & stir for 1-2 minutes.

  2. Cook pulp till it softens and thickens. Now add sugar or jaggery. Stir all the time. Remove it from heat after 2-3 minutes.

Serve with meals!

  • You can have this with Roti, Dosa, or any flatbread.

  • You can store this in the refrigerator for a week in a glass jar

  • You can also pair this with Nachos or use it as a dip for any chips.
